Fear of FightingLearn how to control your fear of losing a fight and become a predator when it comes to protecting your life!

Turn Your Fear in to a Weapon

Fear is not your enemy…

“Think as a predator, fighters, not as a chicken!”

How do you feel when walking through a dark place? When passing by some suspicious individuals? When facing the truth that you really have to fight for your life?

Do you feel threatened? Terrified, maybe?

Lot’s of people don’t realize it but fear is just a psychical reaction of your body on some external impulses. It is usually connected with muscle shaking, cold hands and sweating. Your adrenaline rises but as the fear grows, you slowly lose control over your body.

You must control your fear, fighters! Don’t let it devour you!
Let me explain to you what FEAR is..

F..false
E..evidence
A..appearing
R..real

That is your fear, fighters!

You can either piss your pants dry, or use the adrenaline your body just gave you for some real kick ass good thing. You just have to think as a fighter! Use your fear and enjoy it. Develop the Fighters mind!

Fear can either consume you or for better, fear can give you strenght and make you think clearly. You just have to know how to use your fear and make it a weapon.

When you have to go through a dark place, don’t think of it as a place where you should be frightened. Big no sister!
Think of it as a place where others should fear you! Become a part of the place. If there is someone waiting for you, how do you think he feels being there, all alone in the dark? He can be quite frightened too don’t you think? The dark is maybe his advantage. But it can be yours too. If you can’t see a thing, so does not you enemy.

Let’s look on it from a different fighters mind angle..

It is especially your memory that fails you. It is just how you connect things, events and actions with your feelings. When someone throws a punch on you, your brain thinks – oh it is a “punch”, in my brain database “punch” means “pain” and “pain” is bad, I don’t want to get punched – I FEAR to be punched! And so you unconsciously connect punch with “pain”, so you fear the punch. That holds you back from performing an action and so you either get punched because you did nothing or make you jump around and cry like an idiot that you really don’t want to get hit. That means fear has caught your balls and he can do whatever he likes to you.

When fear holds your balls – you’re fu**ed!

A fighter must think differently. Like.. “Oh a punch, looks like it is the strong one, I’d better get out of its way. If I block it from inside, I can throw that little bitch on that dog shit over there. I bet that would make him angry.”

See the difference? And it all happens in thousandths of seconds. You just have no time to be frightened, you have to ACT!

Imagine fighting a bigger and quite meaner guy. His face is scary and you know that there is no chance to talk your way out of there. But still you can’t afford to let fear consume you.
The way you have to think in that moment is this – “Look at that guy. He is definitely much stronger than I am, but I bet I’m much faster! I should use that and try to attack on his shins or if I can create an opening, I might be able to get behind him and use that stone right there to knock him down.” – Fighters mind..

Do you understand? I hope you do because it is very important that you adopt that kind of mind set. Use your fear and grow stronger. Enjoy the feeling! Enjoy the fear if you want to!
If you succeed, you will create something like a switch in your head that will turn you from a very nice social guy to a tough fight machine tearing apart all the bastards in you sight.
That is what we call the fighters mind baby..

There is a very nice way I use to make my mind really strong and I can tell you, this exercise helped me a lot.

You can do it just before you fall asleep in your bed. It takes a while and it can make your fighters mind grow strong like hell. And you will lear how to control your fear instead of letting fear consume you.

Here we go!

Lay on the bed and relax you whole body. No tension, just relax.

Close your eyes and breathe.
Concentrate only on your thoughts and ignore anything else.
Think about the situation where you have to fight someone or something you fear the most.
A ghost, a spider I don’t care.. it has to be something you are really afraid of.
Visualize it and make it vivid.
Feel the fear and let the emotion devour your whole body. Bath in that fear!

When you feel you had enough – clear your mind and relax. Breathe!

Now think about the person who is dearest to you. Enjoy his/her presence in your mind and feel the strong emotion that bounds you together.
Again – let it absorb you.

If you enjoyed enough, put that person behind you in your mind. Now you are his/her protector.
Let them stay behind and imagine your greatest fear from before.
Now there are three entities in your mind. You, your beloved ones and your greatest fear.

The thing you fear is now attacking. And it attacks not only you, but most importantly your beloved one. You have to fight your fear or they are going to die and you are going to die along with them!

You have to stand your ground and fight till your last breath. Feel that strong feeling of anger, fear and care for your dearest.

You love them and you are going to give your life for theirs.
You are now going to fight your fear and you are fighting hard. You are no longer frightened. The love you feel is much stronger.

You fight like hell and you win. You win and you survive.
You have saved your beloved ones and yourself too.

Now clear your mind again and relax. Breathe.

Slowly open your eyes.

And that is it!

The “beloved one protecting” factor is one of the best ways to make you fight, because people tend not to fight till the end or not to fight at all when it comes to their own safety. But when you protect for example your spouse and children.. you become a blinking predator!

Take dogs for instance. If they are in danger, they run away. But if YOU are in danger, your dog will give his life for you because he loves you more than any one else. He will fight till the end.

I know that in written form the exercise may sound little comic, but it really helps and this way you can develop what I call the FIGHTERS MIND.

For Fighting… Intro

May 11th, 2009 FighterStreet No comments

Hello to all my fighters reading this little “Fighter Street” article. I’d like to thank you for visiting my new site and on top of that I hope you will enjoy staying here.

I am going to provide you, my fighting guys and girls, with the experience I gained while fighting on street and from my real self defense mentors. I allow no hype and I won’t write about anything that is not 100% real. (Well or at least 90% real but I won’t go lower.)

If you want to know a little bit more about me please visit the Fighter Street box and serach for the “About the Author” section. There is not much info yet, but I’m going to improve it.

You know, I’m into fighting and developing my combat skills since early childhood and I went a long way from broken nose to dislocated limbs to understand something about fighting others and even fighting for your life.
I do have some tips and tricks you folks might use. I also met some very interesting people and trust me they surely have a lot of close combat things they can share with you my reading fighters.

This is all devoted to fighting and protecting the things you love and admire the most. Not only fighting for your life, money, stuff.. but also helping and defending others.

You know when you have some fighting and self defense skills you also carry an important factor called “responsibility”. Not everyone can fight like you do. Not everyone is able to protect him/herself or others like you do. And you are responsible for your strength and ability. If you don’t have to hurt – Don’t! If you can help – Help!
I want you to understand that fighting art is not only about beating others to death… that is the least thing. It is also about self control, consciousness, confidence, empathy and will. I hope you understand me a little.. fighters!
Take that as a first “Figher Street” lesson. Be responsible for what you have done, do or will do! As Ben Parker (Spiderman) said: “With great power comes great responsibility!”
We clear fighters?!

I went through it all. I stood still when my friend got beaten to shit and didn’t help! I overused my power and hurt a defenseless guy (but even though I was not the one who started the quarrel – I didn’t have to) and I am so not proud of it. Knowing how to fight is necessary these days, but knowing how to help and control yourselves is grave topic!

Are we clear Fighers?!

Oh and there is one more thing. Please feel free to post comments and discuss things. There is nothing as healthy as a good discussion.
But I allow no shit and bloody spam on my site. So please be sure to post relevant ads.

So learn to control yourself, be responsible and… welcome to the Figter Street again!

Let’s get ready for fighting!
