Ear Slap – Painful and Effective

June 16th, 2009 FighterStreet No comments

Ear Slap

This is a very nice technique, that is usually followed with other, also very effective moves, like eye gouge, ear tear or multiple kicks in the groin (just to give you some example).

The whole idea about the ear slap move is that you hit hard opponents ears with your hands, what has a massive effect on your assailant’s center of balance. Confusing him and gaining control over him for a while.

Performing ear slap is like hitting the ball in a volleyball smash. You shape your hand so it looks a little bit cupped and hit anywhere around the ear. The ear is the best target, but if you mess it up and hit a jaw or a neck, it has a good effect too, so don’t feel disappointed.

Try ear slap at home. I bet everyone has some kind of ball (football ball, soccer ball) and try ear slap on that. Shape your hand and hit it as hard as you can. The landing zone of your hand is your palm (basically the whole part above wrist – palm, fingers…).

I recommend practicing the ear slap move from the stance, where you put your hands in your pockets or put them on your hips. Now shoot your hands up and before you to the height of your own head. Don’t stop your hands on the place you would imagine your opponent’s head. Just clap your hands to have some feedback on your power. Do that many times in a row with speed and power.

You can replace assailant’s head for a plastic barrel or a plastic bottle. If you have a speed bag, heavy bag or “Bob”, you can nicely practice on these.

Remember to always combine the ear slap with other moves and create your own special combinations.

Ear slap can be also performed with just one hand, when the second grabs assailants hand or clothing and pull him in the direction of the ear slap while you then continue the momentum your ear slapping hand and pull your assailant’s head. This way you can easily ear slap your opponent to the ground.

It is very effective move that is nicely combined with eye gouge when attacking from behind. Ear slap with both hands and then rake the eyes with your middle fingers.

Have any ideas about combining the ear slap move with other techniques? Tell us about it…

Eye Gouge – Leave Him Blind in a Second

Eye Gouge

Eye gouge combat move is according to me one of the most effective techniques you can ever use. When a guy happens to be eye gouged, guess how he would behave?

If you eye gouge anybody, his main concern would be about his eyes. He doesn’t want to lose them and keep his sight. Not only you cause him a great pain with eye gouge, but you can also blind him with your fingers.

Man that is a great thing since you are already performing a very effective technique which is eye gouge itself, but you can easily continue with more also very effective close combat moves like kneeling in the attacker’s nuts, kickin’ his shins, stomping feet or one of my favorites is to blast his head over the wall.

“Doctor! We have a KNOCKOUT here!!”

Are you like millions of people out there trying to fight honestly using only the “tickle me” punches they learned from the TV, or are you one of those people who are really serious about surviving the fight and emerging victorious?

If you are the latter, eye gouge is for you mate.

Eye gouge is a hell of a dirty technique
and if you are really certain about what you are doing, you can leave the guy totally blind without even trying hard. BAM!! Eye out!

The best way how to train it is on the “BOB” figurine. These rubber guys are anatomically plastic so you can perform an eye gouge like you would do it on a real person.

If you do eye gouge from behind, put your palms on your victim’s ears and rake your middle fingers in his eyes. The best way to perform an eye gouge is to pull your fingers through the inner eye hole (the one nearest to the nose). I love to combine an eye gouge performed from behind with an ear blow or ear slap (it’s the same) move. Very effective baby…

A front eye gouge is the same but the only difference is that you use your thumbs for the actual gouge. During that you can do lots of other moves I described earlier. Once you are bored eye gouging – grab opponent’s ears and tear them of his head.
He has never ever suffered so much pain – I guarantee that.

I personally use an eye gouge as an alternative to the throat blow. You have to play timid and wait for the attacker to come closer. Than BAM! – your thumbs are in his ears in a second and it is time for you to lead the party.

Remember to stay safe. Eye gouge is a very effective and dangerous combat move – it saves lives fighters!

Temple Strike – a Pain He Will Never Forget

June 4th, 2009 FighterStreet No comments

Temple Strike

Temple strike is not a name for some new Chinese shaolin movie. The Temple strike is a combat move with very high efficiency, aimed to the temple part of human head.

The temple is situated on the length of your eye from the outer eye corner. You will know you found the right place by pressing on it – you should feel a little pain.

I highly suggest taking the temple strike combat move as a finishing lunge that shall be used only when there is a clear opening or when you find yourselves behind the assailant.

The temple strike can also cause a knockout if done with enough power of the attack.
Remember that this combat move is considered dirty fighting, so it should not be allowed in regular martial arts competition since it causes an extreme pain.

Now how does the temple strike combat move look like…

Form your hand in the fist. Now take your middle finger and put it little bit forth so it’s knuckle is above others. The point of the knuckle is the striking area. I highly suggest you try the temple strike on you first… BUT don’t kill your selves. I don’t want anybody to get knocked out because of me :)

Just try to slightly hit your temple with the knuckle and feel the pressure it delivers to your head from the side. Try to increase the power a little so you can feel a little pain. You will find out that it takes no big effort to the temple strike at all and it already hurts you.

Now imagine delivering that combat move to someone in a full tilt. “BAM!” Man that shit must hurt!

Temple strike is a combat move that is performed from the side so it can be executed in a hook punch form from the front and as a normal punch strike from the sides. But still you must remember that this combat move is aimed on a really little spot so if you don’t have enough space to perform it well, then don’t! I have experience with temple strike a lot since it is one of my favorite combat moves.

With the temple strike combat move you can deliver really devastating pain and cause some serious damage so I want you to practice and use it safe.

Throat Blow – Very Effective and Deadly Combat Move

June 3rd, 2009 FighterStreet No comments

Throat Blow

Throat blow belongs to the combat moves family that I think should be taken as basic, since attacking opponent’s throat can save you lot of time and trouble. It is pretty easy move to execute. In the combat “quick and effective” rule is always the best option and the throat blow move is a very effective way how to end the quarrel.

In the close combat you want to make the fight as quick as possible – but if you can not fight and you are waiting for backup, you should last as long as possible.

As I said knowing how to hit the throat is a second to none combat move that ends the combat situation almost immediately – similar to the kick in the nuts.

The purpose of this combat move is to hit the Adam’s apple which is located on the fore side of the throat and right behind that is a breathe pipe. Executing this combat move and hitting the throat at the right place and strong enough will cause the Adam’s apple to pull deeper in the throat and block the breath pipe. The person hit this way will start to choke due to the insufficient oxygen supply and to be honest – have you ever been choked for real? The feeling is pretty much unpleasant.

The throat and neck itself is really a deadly place with lots of strike areas and you better protect it.

This combat move is a dirty one, but very much effective. One of the best ways how to hit the throat is a hand chop from the side. The place between your pinkie and wrist is an ideal part of your hand for performing the throat blow.

When you attack from the front, you can either use your fist punch to reach the throat or with the “V” shape of your hand made of your thumb and forefinger. I recommend though to prepare your opponent for this combat move with a preparing move like chin jab or finger blow. This way you can raise the assailant’s head and make the throat open for a strike.

When attacking from behind, you can access the throat with a simple choke hold or head lock. These close combat moves are also very effective and have a great impact.
Remember that when you find your self behind your opponent, always aim for the neck.

Throat blows are very effective combat moves that can save you a lot of time. Be sure to confuse your assailant with a preparing strike to reach the throat smoothly.
Also take in consideration that this combat move can have fatal consequences and should be treated as that.
