Ear Slap – Painful and Effective

June 16th, 2009 FighterStreet No comments

Ear Slap

This is a very nice technique, that is usually followed with other, also very effective moves, like eye gouge, ear tear or multiple kicks in the groin (just to give you some example).

The whole idea about the ear slap move is that you hit hard opponents ears with your hands, what has a massive effect on your assailant’s center of balance. Confusing him and gaining control over him for a while.

Performing ear slap is like hitting the ball in a volleyball smash. You shape your hand so it looks a little bit cupped and hit anywhere around the ear. The ear is the best target, but if you mess it up and hit a jaw or a neck, it has a good effect too, so don’t feel disappointed.

Try ear slap at home. I bet everyone has some kind of ball (football ball, soccer ball) and try ear slap on that. Shape your hand and hit it as hard as you can. The landing zone of your hand is your palm (basically the whole part above wrist – palm, fingers…).

I recommend practicing the ear slap move from the stance, where you put your hands in your pockets or put them on your hips. Now shoot your hands up and before you to the height of your own head. Don’t stop your hands on the place you would imagine your opponent’s head. Just clap your hands to have some feedback on your power. Do that many times in a row with speed and power.

You can replace assailant’s head for a plastic barrel or a plastic bottle. If you have a speed bag, heavy bag or “Bob”, you can nicely practice on these.

Remember to always combine the ear slap with other moves and create your own special combinations.

Ear slap can be also performed with just one hand, when the second grabs assailants hand or clothing and pull him in the direction of the ear slap while you then continue the momentum your ear slapping hand and pull your assailant’s head. This way you can easily ear slap your opponent to the ground.

It is very effective move that is nicely combined with eye gouge when attacking from behind. Ear slap with both hands and then rake the eyes with your middle fingers.

Have any ideas about combining the ear slap move with other techniques? Tell us about it…

Eye Gouge – Leave Him Blind in a Second

June 11th, 2009 FighterStreet No comments

Eye Gouge

Eye gouge combat move is according to me one of the most effective techniques you can ever use. When a guy happens to be eye gouged, guess how he would behave?

If you eye gouge anybody, his main concern would be about his eyes. He doesn’t want to lose them and keep his sight. Not only you cause him a great pain with eye gouge, but you can also blind him with your fingers.

Man that is a great thing since you are already performing a very effective technique which is eye gouge itself, but you can easily continue with more also very effective close combat moves like kneeling in the attacker’s nuts, kickin’ his shins, stomping feet or one of my favorites is to blast his head over the wall.

“Doctor! We have a KNOCKOUT here!!”

Are you like millions of people out there trying to fight honestly using only the “tickle me” punches they learned from the TV, or are you one of those people who are really serious about surviving the fight and emerging victorious?

If you are the latter, eye gouge is for you mate.

Eye gouge is a hell of a dirty technique
and if you are really certain about what you are doing, you can leave the guy totally blind without even trying hard. BAM!! Eye out!

The best way how to train it is on the “BOB” figurine. These rubber guys are anatomically plastic so you can perform an eye gouge like you would do it on a real person.

If you do eye gouge from behind, put your palms on your victim’s ears and rake your middle fingers in his eyes. The best way to perform an eye gouge is to pull your fingers through the inner eye hole (the one nearest to the nose). I love to combine an eye gouge performed from behind with an ear blow or ear slap (it’s the same) move. Very effective baby…

A front eye gouge is the same but the only difference is that you use your thumbs for the actual gouge. During that you can do lots of other moves I described earlier. Once you are bored eye gouging – grab opponent’s ears and tear them of his head.
He has never ever suffered so much pain – I guarantee that.

I personally use an eye gouge as an alternative to the throat blow. You have to play timid and wait for the attacker to come closer. Than BAM! – your thumbs are in his ears in a second and it is time for you to lead the party.

Remember to stay safe. Eye gouge is a very effective and dangerous combat move – it saves lives fighters!

Shin Kick – He Won’t “Stand” the Pain!

June 9th, 2009 FighterStreet No comments

Shin Kick

Shin kick is a very powerful and effective combat move. Everybody on the planet have already experienced that monstrous pain when hit in the shin bone during a football match or doing anything else.

I remember when I was first practicing with “bo” (Japanese term for a pole) and smashed the top of it right in to my shin bone when trying to rotate it. The pain was horrible!

And pain is what this combat move is basically about. Shin kick is based on hitting a place on your leg where the bone is very accessible so you can smash it and torture the one being hit. Even a small blow can cause unbearable pain.

As I have used the shin kick quite a few times, I must say that people are really unaware to this kind of combat move. When you raise your leg, they presume you want to kick them in a head or what, but they never think about kicking shin.

The best part is that you don’t need much space to perform the shin kick because the shin is low located and that means easily accessible. It’s fast and very effective.

If you would find a good leverage to your hit and perform really nice shin kick, the person is undoubtedly going to fall down so you can kick him a little more or run away.

One teacher of mine once told me you can even KO someone using a shin kick, but I have never really KO’d anyone with this kind of combat move though I love to use it.

The magic around the shin kick is that your opponent can be the meanest steroid machine in the world, but when you kick him in his shin bone, he would cry like a little bitch!

This combat move rocks and I highly recommend practicing it from all types of stands and angles with just a bare foot. An ordinary steel pipe can replace the shin bone.
Once you gain some habit in breaking pipes with just a bare foot, you are pretty much ready to smack some bucks down with your shin kick.

Just to give you some tips, I like to add shin kick combat move in my “combos”. When for exmple you throw a punch and you happen to miss, the focus of your opponent is on the hand and on height level where the punch was aimed at. When you continue with a shin kick you can pretty much do some real magic damage. Or even execute this combat move simoultaneously with the punch.

He will not see you performing a shin kick, but he will surely feel it. May be more than he would like to.

Shin kick is really a beautiful combat move that can deliver a nice amount of pain and can, if not end the fight, make the fight much easier.

Throat Blow – Very Effective and Deadly Combat Move

June 3rd, 2009 FighterStreet No comments

Throat Blow

Throat blow belongs to the combat moves family that I think should be taken as basic, since attacking opponent’s throat can save you lot of time and trouble. It is pretty easy move to execute. In the combat “quick and effective” rule is always the best option and the throat blow move is a very effective way how to end the quarrel.

In the close combat you want to make the fight as quick as possible – but if you can not fight and you are waiting for backup, you should last as long as possible.

As I said knowing how to hit the throat is a second to none combat move that ends the combat situation almost immediately – similar to the kick in the nuts.

The purpose of this combat move is to hit the Adam’s apple which is located on the fore side of the throat and right behind that is a breathe pipe. Executing this combat move and hitting the throat at the right place and strong enough will cause the Adam’s apple to pull deeper in the throat and block the breath pipe. The person hit this way will start to choke due to the insufficient oxygen supply and to be honest – have you ever been choked for real? The feeling is pretty much unpleasant.

The throat and neck itself is really a deadly place with lots of strike areas and you better protect it.

This combat move is a dirty one, but very much effective. One of the best ways how to hit the throat is a hand chop from the side. The place between your pinkie and wrist is an ideal part of your hand for performing the throat blow.

When you attack from the front, you can either use your fist punch to reach the throat or with the “V” shape of your hand made of your thumb and forefinger. I recommend though to prepare your opponent for this combat move with a preparing move like chin jab or finger blow. This way you can raise the assailant’s head and make the throat open for a strike.

When attacking from behind, you can access the throat with a simple choke hold or head lock. These close combat moves are also very effective and have a great impact.
Remember that when you find your self behind your opponent, always aim for the neck.

Throat blows are very effective combat moves that can save you a lot of time. Be sure to confuse your assailant with a preparing strike to reach the throat smoothly.
Also take in consideration that this combat move can have fatal consequences and should be treated as that.

Kick in the Nuts – Slam Him in the Balls!

May 20th, 2009 FighterStreet No comments

Kick in the Nuts

Kick in the nuts is very well known and pretty damn strong and effective close combat move.
And when it hits the right spot – “BAM!” The fight is over and you go home. Your assailant will probably lay a little while to catch the second breath..

What is it? It’s rounded and when you kick it hard, even a big muscle man falls on the ground.

According to me kick in the nuts is one of the best techniques for defense against rape attacks. It neutralizes the attacker and even if one hit would not be enough (damn I can’t imagine a guy who can stand that) he will definitely think twice before using his one-eyed snake because the act it self would be quite painful – because “it” got smacked and the pain will remain there for a while.

Some people asked me, that even though kick in the nuts is very much effective, they fear that the assailant will manage to catch the kicking leg. What should I do then? We have all seen the ninja movies where ninjas jump in the air with their leg caught and perform spin kick or a backward flip to escape the grip.

Yeah that might be useful defense move but which one of you is really able to do such crazy thing? You know I highly do not recommend even trying that.

First you have to understand how the kick is done. You might think that it is just a kick in the nuts. It is self explanatory, what more can I add?

Well in reality, the kick in the nuts when done slowly and not with the proper strength, can do more damage to the one kicking than to the one “blocking” it. You have to perform the kick in an uncatchable way, yet with great strength and speed.

What you need to do, is to put as much of your body weight as possible. That way the villain will not only deal with the strength of your leg, but also with the weight and moving momentum force of your body. This way you will make the kicking leg a little bulldozer nuts crusher.

Learn more about putting body weight in strikes.

Your assailant is now not just catching your kicking leg, but he is also catching the weight of your body. So it makes your leg merely uncatchable. And your kick pretty devastating.
Of course if you face some mean muscle mountain no nuts at all steroid guy, who may have some chances to catch your kick, but there is no way he can shoot your leg in the air. Why? Because if you used your body weight properly, your body should be very close to the villain’s body so you can catch his clothes, or continue with other different strikes. The kick you performed should have a big moving strength and even though someone manages to catch that kick, your leg will slip through his hands and the grip is not on your ankle, where the is the best place for moving the leg, but on a knee, while your kicking leg is bent. That makes the leg pretty much harder to throw.
Kick in the nuts is always just a starter. Some nice aimed elbows in his neck or thrusting your thumbs in his eye holes should do nice damage. You can even catch the attackers head, put your thumbs in his eyes and kick in the nuts as many times you want. Just kick, kick, kick… (in fact when being close to the assailant you rather knee him in his nuts but I think you understand me when I use “kick”:)
Even if you messed it all up and your leg is being caught bad, don’t give the attacker any time to react. Now you are close and his hands are busy holding your leg.. time to beat some meat!

Remember that the hit in the nuts doesn’t always have be a kick. Kicking nuts is fun, but what if his legs are close to each other so your foot won’t come in? Or you are simply not in the position to throw a kick that way?

You can always punch him there or for more efficiency, grab the balls, squeeze them and tear them off the body. That would cause a massive amount of pain. Very nice technique to apply when in a head-lock. When your hands are in the reach of opponents balls, just grab them and keep them as a souvenir. You can then wear the nuts as a necklace.

Remember that kick in the nuts or any strike on groin is a finishing move. Once you hit it hard, you win.

Stay in touch fighter, there are more combat moves to come.
