The Attacker is NOT an Idiot – The Fighting is NOT a Math Lesson

May 21st, 2009 FighterStreet No comments

Street Fighter

People may not be smart, but they can be excellent fighters!

Never Underestimate the Attacker

The attacker in fact should be pretty much overestimated. If you will think of the attacker as of some stupid street born idiot, you can say “Bye, bye!” to your life or money.

It can all be like this.

The attacker surprises you in a lane. Put the knife on your shoulder to frighten you and make you turn to see his face. He likes it this way.
You see the attacker and feel so terrified you would piss your self.
Looking the attacker in his eyes hoping to see some good will. But it is not exactly what you see – it’s the Down Syndrome! Oh thank god it is just some nerd from the facility.

You try to talk to “the attacker” …now so called. Trying to treat him as a child. But what you don’t know is that this is exactly what makes the attacker angry like hell and ….BAM!! The knife is in your chest, making him feel better as he can feel your blood on his hands.

See my point? The attacker may not be able to recon the speed of light, but in the same speed he can kill you. As long as he can count the money he will steal from your corpse, he will be fine – unlike you.

Always presume that the attacker is the best of the best. This way he can never surprise you in anything. If he will, he has a big advantage. You have to turn the surprise effect on your side.

Even though the attacker is dirty and smelly does not mean he doesn’t know how to stab you in your chest, does it?
He can be mugging people for years and develop a pretty good skill in this field.
The attacker may be a guy who can not tie his shoe laces, but he can be so goddamn good fighter that even Chuck Norris will have trouble handling him.

Good example is in this movie I highly recommend to you. It’s called “The Longest Yard” with Adam Sandler as the main character.
When watching it, look for a guy called Switowski (Bob Sapp) and you will easily understand what I mean.
That guy is a big baby, but when it comes to fight, I would not want to be in the front line.

Same applies on the street.

You have to assume that the attacker is stronger, faster, smarter even healthier and better fighter than you are. That he has a hidden weapon somewhere. That he has friends around you might not see and he has a master plan.

Remember that the guys on the street are predators waiting for their prey. And that might be you.

If it turns out that you are lucky and the attacker has his premiere so he will run away with the first sign of resistance, you keep your life and money and you can tell to your self that you were prepared for everything. Even though that bastard revealed him self as a bloody chicken.

Just stay focused and never think that the attacker is stupid. He can be way smarter than he looks like.

Fighters Mindset – Conquer Your Fear and Enjoy the Fight!

May 20th, 2009 FighterStreet No comments

Fear of FightingLearn how to control your fear of losing a fight and become a predator when it comes to protecting your life!

Turn Your Fear in to a Weapon

Fear is not your enemy…

“Think as a predator, fighters, not as a chicken!”

How do you feel when walking through a dark place? When passing by some suspicious individuals? When facing the truth that you really have to fight for your life?

Do you feel threatened? Terrified, maybe?

Lot’s of people don’t realize it but fear is just a psychical reaction of your body on some external impulses. It is usually connected with muscle shaking, cold hands and sweating. Your adrenaline rises but as the fear grows, you slowly lose control over your body.

You must control your fear, fighters! Don’t let it devour you!
Let me explain to you what FEAR is..

F..false
E..evidence
A..appearing
R..real

That is your fear, fighters!

You can either piss your pants dry, or use the adrenaline your body just gave you for some real kick ass good thing. You just have to think as a fighter! Use your fear and enjoy it. Develop the Fighters mind!

Fear can either consume you or for better, fear can give you strenght and make you think clearly. You just have to know how to use your fear and make it a weapon.

When you have to go through a dark place, don’t think of it as a place where you should be frightened. Big no sister!
Think of it as a place where others should fear you! Become a part of the place. If there is someone waiting for you, how do you think he feels being there, all alone in the dark? He can be quite frightened too don’t you think? The dark is maybe his advantage. But it can be yours too. If you can’t see a thing, so does not you enemy.

Let’s look on it from a different fighters mind angle..

It is especially your memory that fails you. It is just how you connect things, events and actions with your feelings. When someone throws a punch on you, your brain thinks – oh it is a “punch”, in my brain database “punch” means “pain” and “pain” is bad, I don’t want to get punched – I FEAR to be punched! And so you unconsciously connect punch with “pain”, so you fear the punch. That holds you back from performing an action and so you either get punched because you did nothing or make you jump around and cry like an idiot that you really don’t want to get hit. That means fear has caught your balls and he can do whatever he likes to you.

When fear holds your balls – you’re fu**ed!

A fighter must think differently. Like.. “Oh a punch, looks like it is the strong one, I’d better get out of its way. If I block it from inside, I can throw that little bitch on that dog shit over there. I bet that would make him angry.”

See the difference? And it all happens in thousandths of seconds. You just have no time to be frightened, you have to ACT!

Imagine fighting a bigger and quite meaner guy. His face is scary and you know that there is no chance to talk your way out of there. But still you can’t afford to let fear consume you.
The way you have to think in that moment is this – “Look at that guy. He is definitely much stronger than I am, but I bet I’m much faster! I should use that and try to attack on his shins or if I can create an opening, I might be able to get behind him and use that stone right there to knock him down.” – Fighters mind..

Do you understand? I hope you do because it is very important that you adopt that kind of mind set. Use your fear and grow stronger. Enjoy the feeling! Enjoy the fear if you want to!
If you succeed, you will create something like a switch in your head that will turn you from a very nice social guy to a tough fight machine tearing apart all the bastards in you sight.
That is what we call the fighters mind baby..

There is a very nice way I use to make my mind really strong and I can tell you, this exercise helped me a lot.

You can do it just before you fall asleep in your bed. It takes a while and it can make your fighters mind grow strong like hell. And you will lear how to control your fear instead of letting fear consume you.

Here we go!

Lay on the bed and relax you whole body. No tension, just relax.

Close your eyes and breathe.
Concentrate only on your thoughts and ignore anything else.
Think about the situation where you have to fight someone or something you fear the most.
A ghost, a spider I don’t care.. it has to be something you are really afraid of.
Visualize it and make it vivid.
Feel the fear and let the emotion devour your whole body. Bath in that fear!

When you feel you had enough – clear your mind and relax. Breathe!

Now think about the person who is dearest to you. Enjoy his/her presence in your mind and feel the strong emotion that bounds you together.
Again – let it absorb you.

If you enjoyed enough, put that person behind you in your mind. Now you are his/her protector.
Let them stay behind and imagine your greatest fear from before.
Now there are three entities in your mind. You, your beloved ones and your greatest fear.

The thing you fear is now attacking. And it attacks not only you, but most importantly your beloved one. You have to fight your fear or they are going to die and you are going to die along with them!

You have to stand your ground and fight till your last breath. Feel that strong feeling of anger, fear and care for your dearest.

You love them and you are going to give your life for theirs.
You are now going to fight your fear and you are fighting hard. You are no longer frightened. The love you feel is much stronger.

You fight like hell and you win. You win and you survive.
You have saved your beloved ones and yourself too.

Now clear your mind again and relax. Breathe.

Slowly open your eyes.

And that is it!

The “beloved one protecting” factor is one of the best ways to make you fight, because people tend not to fight till the end or not to fight at all when it comes to their own safety. But when you protect for example your spouse and children.. you become a blinking predator!

Take dogs for instance. If they are in danger, they run away. But if YOU are in danger, your dog will give his life for you because he loves you more than any one else. He will fight till the end.

I know that in written form the exercise may sound little comic, but it really helps and this way you can develop what I call the FIGHTERS MIND.

Kick in the Nuts – Slam Him in the Balls!

May 20th, 2009 FighterStreet No comments

Kick in the Nuts

Kick in the nuts is very well known and pretty damn strong and effective close combat move.
And when it hits the right spot – “BAM!” The fight is over and you go home. Your assailant will probably lay a little while to catch the second breath..

What is it? It’s rounded and when you kick it hard, even a big muscle man falls on the ground.

According to me kick in the nuts is one of the best techniques for defense against rape attacks. It neutralizes the attacker and even if one hit would not be enough (damn I can’t imagine a guy who can stand that) he will definitely think twice before using his one-eyed snake because the act it self would be quite painful – because “it” got smacked and the pain will remain there for a while.

Some people asked me, that even though kick in the nuts is very much effective, they fear that the assailant will manage to catch the kicking leg. What should I do then? We have all seen the ninja movies where ninjas jump in the air with their leg caught and perform spin kick or a backward flip to escape the grip.

Yeah that might be useful defense move but which one of you is really able to do such crazy thing? You know I highly do not recommend even trying that.

First you have to understand how the kick is done. You might think that it is just a kick in the nuts. It is self explanatory, what more can I add?

Well in reality, the kick in the nuts when done slowly and not with the proper strength, can do more damage to the one kicking than to the one “blocking” it. You have to perform the kick in an uncatchable way, yet with great strength and speed.

What you need to do, is to put as much of your body weight as possible. That way the villain will not only deal with the strength of your leg, but also with the weight and moving momentum force of your body. This way you will make the kicking leg a little bulldozer nuts crusher.

Learn more about putting body weight in strikes.

Your assailant is now not just catching your kicking leg, but he is also catching the weight of your body. So it makes your leg merely uncatchable. And your kick pretty devastating.
Of course if you face some mean muscle mountain no nuts at all steroid guy, who may have some chances to catch your kick, but there is no way he can shoot your leg in the air. Why? Because if you used your body weight properly, your body should be very close to the villain’s body so you can catch his clothes, or continue with other different strikes. The kick you performed should have a big moving strength and even though someone manages to catch that kick, your leg will slip through his hands and the grip is not on your ankle, where the is the best place for moving the leg, but on a knee, while your kicking leg is bent. That makes the leg pretty much harder to throw.
Kick in the nuts is always just a starter. Some nice aimed elbows in his neck or thrusting your thumbs in his eye holes should do nice damage. You can even catch the attackers head, put your thumbs in his eyes and kick in the nuts as many times you want. Just kick, kick, kick… (in fact when being close to the assailant you rather knee him in his nuts but I think you understand me when I use “kick”:)
Even if you messed it all up and your leg is being caught bad, don’t give the attacker any time to react. Now you are close and his hands are busy holding your leg.. time to beat some meat!

Remember that the hit in the nuts doesn’t always have be a kick. Kicking nuts is fun, but what if his legs are close to each other so your foot won’t come in? Or you are simply not in the position to throw a kick that way?

You can always punch him there or for more efficiency, grab the balls, squeeze them and tear them off the body. That would cause a massive amount of pain. Very nice technique to apply when in a head-lock. When your hands are in the reach of opponents balls, just grab them and keep them as a souvenir. You can then wear the nuts as a necklace.

Remember that kick in the nuts or any strike on groin is a finishing move. Once you hit it hard, you win.

Stay in touch fighter, there are more combat moves to come.

Fight Back and Fight Dirty! Your Life is in Peril!

May 15th, 2009 FighterStreet No comments

There is Nothing Like a Dirty Fighter on the Street

It may sound strange, but most people that are being attacked or mugged usually don’t fight back. Instead they rather let the attacker do what he wants just to let them be and leave. They are afraid they would get hurt or even killed when they fight back (the hell who would be not). But in fact, what they do is they are much closer to get killed when they don’t fight.

Did you know, that when you start to fight back and start to fight back early, you DOUBLE your chances to escape and that means to survive!

You can even increase your chances when you put the fighting on a higher Street Fight Class level – what means that you should fight dirty! Since there are no rules on the street, nobody should care.

Fighting according to the martial arts “don’t touch me” rules is going to kill you out there. If you are already decided to fight back, fine, but fight effective. That is the best combination, trust me.

Dirty fighting is a bad nasty way of how to fight someone, but it is exactly the way you will be attacked. Just return the favor and fight back dirtier :)

Take a club and smack it over the attacker’s head. Gouge his eyes, tear his ears off, bite him. Whatever can help you is good. I love grab or kick in the nuts - that is a good one too.

The fact is that when you attack or fight back on the street, you have to take in consideration in what environment you are fighting at and what can you use during the fight to your advantage.

When you fight in a bar, you grab the first heavy ashtray and throw it in attacker’s face. Then you follow with some pool balls and then a strike from side with a chair or a cue. Kick his shins and knees to unbalance him and then tell to 350lbs “Slimy” Bob to sit on the man’s lungs.

Need to fight back on the street? Grab the dustbin lid and you have a shield. “Frisbee” it in attacker’s face and run.

Do you think someone would teach you that in a karate lesson? I doubt that..

To fight back on the street is much different story than to fight back in a ring (there is no ashtray to throw).

Just forget about the rules and try to enjoy the freedom you have. Just fight back and don’t give in! The only thing that bounds your hands is the law.

Do you have anything you would like to ad or share? Please go ahead…

He Didn’t Give Me a Chance to Fight

May 15th, 2009 FighterStreet No comments

How the Hell Did I End up on the Pavement?

Hey Fighter! See the title? That may be your words after surviving an assault on the street. The fact is you may not even know who attacked you. It is every time the same thing to remember, fighter. There are no rules on the street and that means street fight has no rules too. The only rule that bounds you fighters is the law – but that is all!

You can get beaten to the ground and when you wake up, you may not even know what the hell hit you and even from which direction the strike came.
How the hell am I going to dodge something I can’t see? Who was that bloody mfcker who did that to you? What kind of fighter would do this kind of shit? …Nothing. You can not remember a thing. The fearless fighter got smacked down by a single strike. One blow – BAM! – fighter gone!

This happens all the time… Why? Because you didn’t even notice that there was someone with intentions to strike you down. You didn’t even realize that someone would actually do that.

Some nerds do it just to satisfy their ego. They attack from behind or jump and strike on you from the crowd of passing-by people, sometimes from behind too.

It is important to realize that people who want to strike, mug or kill someone usually pick victims who are weaker than them on the first sight. They want the strike to be quick and effective. They don’t want them to fight back - they don’t want to encounter any fighter – like you, FIGHTER. It takes time and during that time they shit in their pants because they just don’t want to risk someone will help their victim. And especially not police or some skilled fighter!

This kind of  “chicken fighter” doesn’t want to be identified, caught and hurt. They just want to overcome the fight. I may not even call the “fighters” because they never actually fight you… they just strike from a safe place.

And it can happen anywhere my dear fighter. The thief, mugger, violator or potential killer can choose you on a bus station, school, job… just anywhere and it is up to you to notice something is wrong.
People care only about them selves these days and don’t look around. And that is a big, big, big mistake. You have to look around to see potential threats. Use all senses possible. Listen to the sounds when walking alone in the dark after your night shift. See if there is someone approaching you from any side. Look behind you time after time. You simply have to think as a fighter when walking the street alone.

You know. That “chicken fighter” bunch won’t come in front of you and say “hello, I’m Josh and I would like to rape and kill you. Would you mind not fighting me because I’m really in a hurry and I have to rape three more people to satisfy my freaky needs?”

They will just wait for their moment and do their thing – in the nastiest way you can imagine.
No rules, no honor. They want to have the factor of surprise on their side and they become very unconfident when they loose it. Count with that, fighters.

You have to train your senses. The best thing you can do, is while walking somewhere, try to notice every person around you. Try not to let anyone to approach you or pass-by close around you without you noticing him/her first. Try it as your homework fighters and practice your inaccessibility.

More on Fighter Street coming soon fighters…

Would you like to comment? Just do it…
